Describe your character’s strengths (both magically and personality-wise. Please note that Animagi and Metamorphmagi, etc. are extremely rare and you MUST have Mod Permission.):

Personality—she’s very nice, and her demeanor is extremely gentle. She’s soft-spoken and treats everyone fairly. She’s a VERY diligent worker, so she passed all her classes with high grades due to the EXTREME number of hours that she studied by herself, slaving over her work. Her magical skills are average, nothing to be ashamed of, but nothing to be very braggish about either.

Describe your character’s flaws/weaknesses:

She’s TOO quiet—she hardly ever talks, though she’d prefer it if she could socialize better. She’s painfully shy, and it often stunts the way she interacts with others. Her self-esteem is also very low, and she’s constantly underestimating herself.

Is your character Muggle born, a half-blood, or a pureblood? Explain it.(half-breeds are rare and only with mod approval)

Muggleborn, and from a very poor family. Her parents worked very, very hard—two jobs each—to keep up rent, food, etc etc, when she was a kid.

Character Background/History:

See above for childhood history. She grew up mostly isolated, staying at home and amusing herself. Hence her complete lack of social skills. She did quite well in Hogwarts, though definitely not outstanding/extraordinary. Perhaps the biggest piece of background information as of yet is her brief stint of dating with a boy that ended up breaking her heart. He was in her house, and she fell in love with him, and he with her, their fifth year in Hogwarts. He was one of the few people who could get her to open up and feel less inhibited, more confident. However, it wasn’t long before they both discovered things that shattered their fragile relationship.

He discovered that she was a muggleborn, and she discovered that he believed in the eradication of muggles from the wizarding bloodline. They had a very messy, very emotional breakup, and after they left school, Coral once again retreated into the sanctuary of her own self.

Coral pushed against the low railing separating the ice from the seats. She pushed a strand of her light, wispy curls behind her ear. Eyelashes fluttering ever so slightly, she paused before beginning a slow, steady skating along the edge of the rink, and then started to speed up.

The wind was whizzing past her face, and she closed her eyes for a moment and as she opened them again, twisted her body—and suddenly, she was flying, soaring through the air with no broom, free as a bird, spinning gloriously in the blindingly bright morning sun. And as suddenly as it started, she felt the skates skid harshly on the ice and her side, hip, cheek, all came into contact with the reality of the cold ground.

She sucked in a breath and flipped onto her back, shutting her eyes tightly against the glare of the sun. The exhilaration of flight was leaving her body as the cold seeped in, but she lay still, grabbing on to that last vestige of amazing happiness that flooded into her every time she jumped. And as the last few remnants of the adrenaline left her system, she pushed herself up and re-assumed her place at the railing.

She tries to stay neutral: she doesn’t like confrontation. But she’s muggleborn, so I don’t think she’ll be joining voldie anytime soon XD
